Meet Merry Neitlich, Competitive Skater and Expert Communicator

 

Merry Neitlich, the creator and director of The Coach's Edge, is an experienced communicator, trainer and coach to educators, and a long-time competitive figure skater. With more than 20 years in her own marketing consulting firm, she has a well-deserved reputation for training a wide range of professionals to be clear and concise communicators. As a figure skater, she knows how coaches and skaters think on the ice, whether they are struggling with setbacks or reveling in a breakthrough success. Today, Merry is an adult competitive figure skater with five national gold medals and ten national podium finishes.

 

Merry is uniquely qualified to combine proven, research-based education best practices with the best of coaching technique. Her powerful program will sharpen your teaching methods for today's demanding skaters and their parents.

2016, Professional Skaters Association/Ice Skating Institute Annual Conference

Key presenter: Developing Your Personal Brand and Creating Brands for Skating Institutions and Products.

 

2014, Colorado Sports Center, Monument Colorado

Working with Kori Ade's and Rohene Ward’s team of skaters and coaches, provided three-days of training in the I-SPEAK Your Language communications program along with team building on and off the ice. We applied the theory of I-SPEAK to enhance effective communication between the skaters and coaches both on and off the ice.

 

Trained the figure skating and hockey coaches on Landing Learning Theory on Ice providing interactive practice in how to increase the rate and degree of teaching effectiveness with their athletes.

 

2013, World Arena, Colorado Springs

Provided three-days of training working with Tom Zakrajsek, his skaters and coaching team teaching, practicing and refining the I-SPEAK Your Language training program. Team building and increased skater responsibilities were reinforced and taught throughout the multi-day program.
